Formerly part of the of the estate belonging to the Benedictine Abbey of Amorbach, the Schafhof of "Amorhof" looks back on a long and historic tradition. First documented in 1445, rebuilt in 1721 and lovingly restored in 1974 the Schafhof is a place that provides relaxation and a high quality of living for the discerning guest.

In the monks' old chambers or in the cosy little rooms of the former monastic storehouse you will enjoy romantic homeliness. Here, in the heart of the Odenwald, guests can also enjoy nature and delight in the finest food and wine from our kitchens and cellars including home made jams and preserves from ripe, freshly-picked fruit, honey fresh from the comb, fruit brandies from our stills, etc.

There are so many ways of relaxing at the Schafhof. Simply tune in to your inner self and get away from the stress of everyday life. Or be active, enjoy a game of tennis, walking fishing, play boccia or garden chess.
